SS14 Jacquemus Collection

After a recent trip to New York and a long awaited purchase of a basketball jersey I decided to look into how sport can influence designers collections.

New designer Simon Porte Jacquemus may only have been around for 5 years but his collections are becoming a youthful stand out for womenswear. Jacquemus embodies a 90’s minimalist sporting style within his collections which has especially been shown in Spring/Summer 14.

This collection not only uses the influence from sport but influence of the blush pink colour palette that has been scattered over couture and high street for this season.

I really like this collection because even though it is a catwalk show collection it can be easily worn and translated on the high street and can therefore be worn by the ages that the brand is trying to reach out to.
